These pages are designed to help you with the non-arts bits of your work and to help you get involved in policy developments which might change arts policies in Wales.

Consultation

The consultation pages are designed to give you a chance to get involved in developing policies for bodies such as the Arts Council and Assembly. A lot of this work is carried on via e-mail and web based discussions and Wales has a pretty open system of Government – it is up to you how much you want to be involved. If you do want to join in the debates you can do it by using the links and e-mailing the Assembly or Arts Council. A copy to us at info@vaw.org.uk would be much appreciated. You can also join in the debate on our forum pages. Go on, get it off your chest!

Policy

The policy pages offer samples of policies such as Child Protection and Welsh Language policies which we all need to help both with funding and with the day to day running of organisations. These policies should be living documents – not stuck on a shelf in your back bedroom – so it is no good just cutting and pasting your group’s name into the samples. The examples we offer are designed to give you an idea of the kind of policies you may need to think about developing for your own group.
