 VAW training 
Our varied training events have been specifically designed to help those working in the voluntary and community arts, plan for the future. They are written with the benefit of our experience in arts development, taught by experts and most of all, they relate to your work and to your organisation We offer many different types of courses and events, - in fundraising, marketing, business planning, policy development and legal issues, child protection issues, regeneration strategies, networking and skills sharing, planning events, better management and many more – and best of all – they are FREE.
We can help you if your activities fit one of the following categories:- - Voluntary & amateur arts groups (local music/drama/literature/dance/visual arts/crafts groups)
- Umbrella organisations which support and represent voluntary and amateur arts groups
- Community arts organisations
- Organisations like MIND or GROUNDWORK that use the arts as part of their wider policy
- Organisations that represent groups of volunteers such as ushers in galleries.
Remember that learning can be fun and very rewarding, when the process is shared with others in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, so come along and experience this for yourself, with an event to suit your organisation’s needs. Voluntary Arts Wales offers both one day events and some weekend courses, also the occasional evening event, for your convenience.
Places at all our training events are limited to a maximum of two people from each organisation, so you need to book early with our Welshpool office on 01938 556455 or email info@vaw.org.uk , to avoid disappointment. A small handling fee will reserve your place and will be returned to you once you have attended a course.
